The list of things I should-do-more-of seems to get longer and longer as time passes. I guess this phenomena is called adulting?
I for sure should be flossing my teeth more, reading more, working out more and the list goes on including taking care of my skin. I can’t help you hack that sweat session or book list, but I can help with your skin.
Filling out your bracket is complicated, skin care is not. Having a skin care routine doesn't mean you have to sacrifice your man card or time. Sometimes, basic is good.
Cleanse
When: Morning and night (and if you shave, do it before shaving).
Why: To remove dead skin cells and other build-up on your skin. The less build-up on your skin, the fewer clogged pores and breakouts you’ll have. Also, giving your skin a pre-shave exfoliating scrub keeps ingrown hairs and razor bumps at bay.
How: Wet face, lather cleanser, wash off. We made you a video of our solid face wash. You’re welcome.
Under-eye care
When: Morning, night and as needed
Why: The skin under your eyes is the thinnest of all the skin on your face. The signs of aging or a long night out will show up here first. Protecting under-eye skin from irritation from things like pollution can help reduce fine lines.
How: Using the Wake Up Eye Stick gently roll under eyes starting by your nose and moving toward the outside of your eye.
Moisturize
When: Morning and night.
Why: It will make your skin firmer, prevent water loss and provide an anti-aging effect. Starting in your 20’s your body makes less of the proteins that help your skin retain moisture. Give it a little help by hydrating morning and night, especially in the winter when the warmer climates make your skin drier (not to mention those high alpine altitudes).
How: Place a pea-sized amount of moisturizer in the palm of your hand. Rub your hands together and gently apply to your face in a circular motion, starting with your cheeks and moving to the rest of your face. You can even use our 2-in-1 Face Moisturizer and Eye Cream under your eyes by just dabbing a rice-sized amount under both eyes (in the direction of your nose to your temples).
Stick with it
Why: It takes 2 minutes or less each day. That’s less than 15 minutes of your entire week. You wasted more time on Reddit when you woke up today and that doesn’t help with dry skin, acne and wrinkles.
Take to the oars,
Sean
